What you are buying
A one-time payment of $49 unlocks, for one person being remembered: both obituary versions, the order-of-service program in three designs, the browser-built slideshow, a sheet of prayer cards, and three thank-you card wordings with a printable card sheet. There is no subscription and nothing recurring. Everything unlocked is yours to print, publish, hand out, and reproduce as many times as you like.
You must be 18 or older to buy. If you are not happy with what you paid for, the seven-day refund policy on the refunds page applies, even though everything is delivered the moment you pay.
What you are responsible for
The writing is assembled from what you tell us, with AI assistance, under a strict rule that nothing may be invented. It is still a draft written by a machine from your notes, and it is going into a newspaper with your family's names in it.
Read it before you send it. Check every date, every spelling, and every name in the survivors list. You are responsible for what you publish, and we are not liable for an error that reached print.
The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee that the text is free of errors, and you should read every line before it goes to print.
Music and copyright
The slideshow exports without music by design. Adding a commercial recording to a video file requires a synchronisation licence from the rights holders, and statutory damages for infringement in the United States run from $750 to $150,000 per work. The cue sheet exists so that songs can be played live at the service instead, which is an ordinary public performance normally covered by the venue. The instrumental beds offered inside the tool are generated by your own browser and carry no third-party rights.
If you supply a poem, verse, lyric or passage to be printed, you are responsible for having the right to reproduce it. We print what you give us; we do not go and find copyrighted text for you.
Availability
This is a small operation. We aim to keep the site up and the writing working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. If the writing fails after you have paid, tell us and we will either fix it or refund you.
Your content
What you write about the person you lost is yours. We claim no rights over it, and we do not keep it. The finished pieces are yours outright.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to this service is limited to what you paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including a missed newspaper deadline, a printing cost, or an error in text you approved.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
If we cannot settle a disagreement between ourselves, it goes to small-claims court, or otherwise to the courts of that state.
